From systems to strategy.

At Cornell, computer science, theoretical mathematics, distributed systems and robotics taught her to read beneath the surface of an idea. Her work on Tcl-DP, the Cornell-originated distributed programming project, belonged to that same practical curiosity: not simply whether a system is elegant, but whether it holds together.

Strategic planning at Morgan Stanley brought that discipline into institutional life. Private investing later made the decisions more direct and the horizon longer. Across each setting, enthusiasm comes after the underlying structure has made its case.

The same attention, in different rooms.

Wine and hospitality made abstract decisions tangible: a vineyard, a hotel, a kitchen, a guest. Art and couture offered a different education in form, construction and the people who make culture. Patronage brought those interests into the life of institutions.

What holds her attention now.

Her present interests sit where science begins to alter daily life: the practical use of artificial intelligence, new approaches to mental health and the larger question of how people might age with greater agency and quality of life.

That includes investment in ATAI Life Sciences and its work on psychedelic and alternative therapies, as well as advising early-stage companies on how AI can be integrated with judgment rather than treated as a substitute for it.
